Professor Ilaria Degano of the Università di Pisa presented a poster at the international conference Colours 22 (14-16 September 2022, Evora, Portugal) about the application of the analytical protocol developed in the framework of Superstar project to the diagnostic campaigns performed on two historical murals. In particular, the focus was on the identification of materials used in a historical mural painted in 1978 by Ivar Vics (1960-1981), better known as Dr. Rat, founder of Dutch graffiti movement, named “D.D.T. 666” (Amsterdam) and in the recent “UBUNTU” mural created in July 2018 on the external wall of Dalla Chiesa middle school (Reggio Emilia, Italy) by the artists Ivan “Hang” Pontevia and Daniele Castagnetti in collaboration with city Municipality and Officina Educativa.
