This WP will be dedicated to the development and testing of innovative cleaning materials for non-painted and painted wall surfaces, and to the evaluation of cleaning efficacy. Innovative green materials for cleaning street art and architectural surfaces will be developed new to selectively remove surface deposits and unwanted graffiti. Laser cleaning will be also tested as a complementary and eco-sustainable cleaning method for murals, using both neodymium and argon laser systems, working at 1064 nm and 2940 nm.
